Family:  Ictaluridae (North American freshwater catfishes)
Max. size:  28 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: Gulf Coastal Plain in Suwannee, St. Marks, Ochlockonee, Apalachicola and St. Andrews Bay drainages of northern Florida, southern Georgia and southeastern Alabama in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in deep rock-bottomed or sand-bottomed pools of small to medium swift rivers and impoundments (Ref. 5723).

Threat to humans:  harmless
