Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 45 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Australia and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-16; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 13-14
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky and coral reefs (Ref. 9710). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Associated with the anemone Heteractis crispa (Ref. 5911). Has been reared in captivity (Ref. 35420)
