Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Upper Pao River basin in the Orinoco River drainage and along coastal rivers of Carabobo and Yaracuy States, Venezuela.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Efficient in removing and controlling algae (Ref. 6868).
