Family:  Barbuccidae (Fire-eyed loaches)
Max. size:  2.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Malay peninsula (Johore) and western Borneo (Kapuas).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits small, forested streams and backwaters. Feed on small invertebrates, algae and detritus from the bottom.
