Family:  Agonidae (Poachers), subfamily: Bothragoninae
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 100 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Hokkaido and Habomai islands in Japan and from Peter the Great Bay.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-5; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 6-6. Snout round, with a rostral plate on its anterior tip. Barbels 2 on posterior tip of lower jaw. Branchial membranes fused with isthmus.
