Max. size:  9.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon and Orinoco River basins.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in shaded waters with sand, clay and bedrock areas below riffles. Stomach contents include insect and plant debris (Ref. 6868).
