Distribution:  Indian Ocean: in tropical waters, with one record from off Tanzania (Ref. 31308) and another from the Andaman Sea (Ref. 26282).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Holotype taken from a depth of 511 m (Ref. 26282). Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 31308). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 24 April 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
