Family:  Alepocephalidae (Slickheads)
Max. size:  22 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 1300 - 2000 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: isolated records around Madeira Island and from Morocco south to Angola. Elsewhere, Indian Ocean and eastern Pacific; and probably Western Central Pacific (Ref. 38717).
