Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Mexico to Peru. Particularly common in Gulf of California and Panama Bay (Ref. 9306).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A coastal species that forms schools near the surface.
