Family:  Ictaluridae (North American freshwater catfishes)
Max. size:  57 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: Rio Yaqui and Rio Casas Grandes drainages in northwestern Mexico and (presumably) extreme southeastern Arizona in USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in quiet water over sandy or rocky bottom in small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723).

Threat to humans:  harmless
