This species is distinguished by the following characters: pungent spines in dorsal fin X, terminating noticeably anterior to the middle of the caudal part of the body and are associated with caudal vertebrae 12-21; all spiny rays (D1 + D2) 40; ray number in D1 are twice less than in D3: 30 and 66 ; vertebrae 110; D 106 (30 X 66); A 90; scale cover well developed and reach ahead to the middle of the pectoral fins (Ref. 130195). | |||
