Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Tanganyika and only known from the type locality, Uvira (Democratic Republic of the Congo) (Ref. 46829).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Only known from the holotype (Ref. 5654).
