Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 95-95
Biology:  Inhabits sandy shores. A very secretive fish which hides between rocks or in the sediments (Ref. 4967).
