Family:  Melanotaeniidae (Rainbowfishes, blue eyes)
Max. size:  7.74 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 20-25
Biology:  Not very well known, however, 23 specimens were collected in 1948 from an island stream.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 04 December 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
