Family:  Leuciscidae (Minnows), subfamily: Pogonichthyinae
Max. size:  7.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Ozarkian tributaries of Mississippi, Missouri, White and Arkansas rivers in southern Missouri, northern Arkansas and northeastern Oklahoma, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in flowing pools and runs over sand, gravel and rubble of creeks and small to medium rivers. Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 March 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
