Family:  Distichodontidae (Distichodus)
Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: only known from the two syntypes from the Cubango (Okavango basin) and Kunene (Ref. 82823); the Okavango syntype possibly represents another species (Ref. 11970). Report of the species in the Zambezi (Ref. 7094) is erroneous.
