Environment:  demersal; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  North America: Neuse and Tar River drainages in North Carolina, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit sand-bottomed, gravel-bottomed and detritus-bottomed riffles and runs of small to medium rivers.
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 17 April 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
