Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Cirrhilabrinae
Max. size:  5.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 15 - 46 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Fiji.
Diagnosis:  Diagnosis: Pored lateral line scales 16 + 5; gill rakers 13 - 15; body depth 3.4-3.55 in SL; only the first dorsal soft ray of males prolonged as a filament; caudal fin slightly rounded; pelvic fins 1.75-2.0 in head length; three pale blue to pink stripes on side of body and slightly oblique; unscaled part of caudal fin mainly red (Ref. 52305).
Biology:  Occurs in outer reef slopes rubble bottoms in small groups of mix sexes with females outnumbering males (Ref. 90102). Minimum depth from Ref. 90102.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 March 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
