Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7.19999980926514 - 7.59999990463257; dH range: 5 - 15
Distribution:  Central America: Mexico from the Rio Purificacion basin to the Rio Resolana and northeastern Cihuatlan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur mainly in small flowing and standing waters with dense vegetation (Ref 26130). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
