Max. size:  24.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: upper Uruguay River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Fairly common and inhabits stretches of the main river and its tributaries, with relatively rapid water currents over rocky bottoms with boulders.
