Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  2.39 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 5 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Bahamas, Cuba, St. Croix, and off Yucatan, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-10. Distinguished by the following characteristics: small; lack scales; possess VII spines in the first dorsal; no head or opercle pores; ventral fins completely separate (Ref. 92840).
Biology:  Found on shallow bottoms of coral reefs, usually less than 5 m (Ref. 13628).
