Family:  Rivulidae (Rivulines), subfamily: Rivulinae
Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 4 - 6, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Orinoco River basin, Venezuela.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 4-5 months incubation. Is very difficult, experimented, to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 17 November 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
