Family:  Xenisthmidae (Collared wrigglers)
Max. size:  2.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Ryukyu Islands, northern Australia, and the South Pacific. Reported from Samoa and American Samoa (Ref. 592).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A benthic, inshore species, found in intertidal and coral reef areas, over sandy bottom (Ref. 75154).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 March 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
