| Quote | Woodland et al., 2001 (Ref. 47581) mistakenly synonymized N. gerreoides (as Leiognathus gerreoides) under L. daura. However, the anteroventral profile of the lower jaw in L. daura is almost straight, while that in N. gerreoides is strongly concave, as described in the original description. In addition, L. daura does not have a dark blotch on the nape. |
