Upper jaw with 3 to 4 pairs of larger teeth anteriorly, and lower jaw with 3 pairs of curved strong canines anteriorly. Pectoral fin dark.

嘴非常大, 上頜骨強烈地前面地伸出超過吻尖, 而且遙遠地在後部地延伸超過眼睛下部。 對四對較大的齒前面地上頜有 3, 而且下頜有三對彎曲的大犬齒。 胸鰭深色的。
Inhabits sand and mud bottoms at depths of about 800 m (Ref. 9824). Rarely caught with bottom trawls (Ref. 9824).
