Inhabits inshore and coastal waters (Ref. 3490). Carnivorous feeder. Feeds on Acetes spp., penaeid prawns, deep-sea prawns, fishes, stomatopods, mollusks, isopods, copepods and fish larvae (Ref. 53464).
