Differs from its congeners by its slender body and its 'predator' appearance, with strong jaws, anterior horizontal portion of premaxilla conspicuously projecting and toothed, about as long as lateral part and as distance between posterior tip of maxilla and eye. Also distinguished by its rounded anal and second dorsal fins, and its relatively short caudal peduncle (length/ depth: 1.49-1.57) (Ref. 7305).
用它的細長身體與它的 '掠食者' 外表有別於它的同類,有強的顎, 前頜骨的前面水平部分顯著突出而有齒的, 大約與側面的部份一樣長與當顎骨與眼的後頂端之間的距離。 也藉著區別它的圓形肛門的與第二背鰭鰭, 與它的相當短尾柄 (長度/深度: 1.49-1.57).(參考文獻 7305)
