Tall first dorsal fin (considerable taller in males compared to females) and dark color (Ref. 30404).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated.
Found on white sand with free rubble (Ref. 30404). Lives in symbiotic association with either Alpheus ochrostriatus and A. randalli (Ref. 30404).
