Adults inhabit rocky runs, less often in pools and riffles, of clear headwaters, creeks, and small rivers (Ref. 5723, 86798). They feed on terrestrial insects and drifting aquatic larvae (Ref. 10294). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
