Maxillary teeth are comblike and closely spaced. Photophores small, not broken in small groups. Luminous patches developed on operculum and nostrils. Dark color (Ref. 37039).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated.
Found on island or continental slopes (Ref. 2802). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
