ေက်ာဘက္တြင္ရွိေသာ ေရယက္၌ပါေသာ အမွ်င္မ်ား (စုစုေပါင္း) : 4; စအိုနားတြင္ရွိျပီး နူးညံ့ေသာေရယက္အမွ်င္မ်ား: 44 - 55; ေက်ာရိုးမ်ား: 48 - 52. Mature males with bifurcated serrae on the pectoral spine; zero or one gill raker on first branchial arch; and depth of caudal peduncle 6.3-9.5% SL.
Body shape (shape guide): elongated.
Occurs in both acid water forest streams and blackwater habitats in peat swamps (Ref. 32835). Also found in blackwater streams in lowland and upland areas (Ref. 56749).
