Épines dorsales (Total) : 2; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 29; Épines anales: 0; Rayons mous anaux: 28 - 29; Vertèbres: 19. Prominent hump just anterior to nostrils absent. Soft dorsal fin in males has the second ray slightly elongated and filamentous. Long caudal fin, its length equal to the head length. A broad dark stripe on the outer margin of the anal fin in male, its width greater than that of the pupil (Ref. 33065).
