Động vật có xương sống: 47 - 49. Pectoral fin rays 4 and segmented; first ray unbranched, its tip elongate forming a filament; rays 2-4 branched with distal tip free from the membrane. Dorsal and anal fins all branched. Dorsal procurrent caudal fin rays 21-28; ventral procurrent 21-24. Mouth subterminal; lips and barbels covered by papillae. Premaxillary teeth 27-32; dentary teeth 24-31 (Ref. 41513).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated; Cross section: oval.
Specimens collected from a small, clear water forest stream, shallow (ca. 40 cm deep), with large rocks on banks, gravel and sand on the bottom. Stomach contents include copepods and insect larvae and mites (Ref. 41513).
