Espinas dorsales (total) : 28; Vértebra: 67 - 69. Body with a distinct row of round to diagonal spots along side, which anteriorly are confluent with a well-defined dark streak running posteriorly from the eye, and with a row of asymmetrically placed oblong spots on either side of dorsal fin; pigment present along about two-thirds of length of dorsal and anal elements (Ref. 48399).
Collected in shallow, quiet water, over a silty to sandy bottom, close to the ocean (Ref. 48399).
