ေက်ာဘက္တြင္ရွိေသာ ေရယက္၌ပါေသာ အမွ်င္မ်ား (စုစုေပါင္း) : 10 - 11; စအိုနားတြင္ရွိျပီး နူးညံ့ေသာေရယက္အမွ်င္မ်ား: 10 - 11. Differs from all of its congeners by having a distinctive flattened and concave inter- and postorbital skull roof and thickened lips, with a terminal mouth opening. Lips are protruding by a stronger development of the underlying cutis connective tissue in the lip region (Ref. 55026).
Carnivorous, feeding on snails (Pyrgophorus coronatus), ostracodes and bivalves (Ref. 55026). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
